Why We Built
CommissionScope

After years of helping agencies migrate data and connect systems, Port & Starboard kept meeting the same problem. Commission processing was consuming the agency's best operations people.

Staff spent days, sometimes weeks, reconciling statements from dozens of carriers. Formats differed, policy numbers were missing or reformatted, and producers wondered whether they were paid correctly. Owners had no clear view of where commission revenue actually came from.

We built CommissionScope to fix that. It is not a generic accounting tool adapted for insurance. It is a purpose-built commission workflow from people who understand carrier statements, producer splits, and chargebacks from the inside.

The goal is simple: see every commission line, find payments that are missing or short, and support an accurate payout review with proper chargeback handling.

    CommissionScope imports a book of business from CSV and reviews the first statements with you. The product does not publish a row-count for past migrations.

    CommissionScope ingests an EZLynx report export automatically, and we help you set up the report. Each policy has a link that opens it in EZLynx by policy number. Other agency management systems come in by CSV.

    Jeff Werby co-founded Port & Starboard in Virginia Beach. CommissionScope is the commission workflow that came out of that agency-operations work: statements in, splits calculated, payouts out.

  • Lisa DeNoia

    Co-Founder

    Lisa DeNoia is a world expert in Salesforce, insurance operations, and agency process improvement. She was key to Prosper Insurance's growth and its acquisition by Evertree Insurance, and she shaped Evertree's agency acquisition and onboarding strategy.
