Guided pilot
What a Guided Pilot Proves
Before Rollout
A guided pilot uses statements you have already reconciled. You see CommissionScope extract the lines, match policies, calculate splits, and build the payout file.
How a pilot runs
Five steps, one known answer.
A guided pilot uses statements you have already reconciled, so every result can be checked against what your team found.
- 01 —
Scope the data import
Agree which policies, producers, and commission programs come in by CSV, and which carriers are in the first pass.
- 02 —
Upload approved statements
Your team uploads a small set of carrier statements it has already reconciled, so there is a known answer to compare against.
- 03 —
Review extraction and matches
Walk the extracted lines, confidence flags, and suggested policy matches together. Correct what needs correcting.
- 04 —
Calculate and approve
Run producer splits from your commission programs, review exceptions and chargebacks, and approve a batch the same way you would in production.
- 05 —
Export payout evidence
Produce the CSV, the branded PDF statements, and the audit trail, then compare them to your spreadsheet result line by line.
What you bring
- Policy, producer, and commission program data as CSV
- A small set of carrier statements you have already reconciled
- The split rules and exceptions your spreadsheet encodes today
- One person who can say whether a result is right
What you leave with
- A list of carrier formats that are ready and ones that need work
- Match and calculation results compared to your known answer
- Approved payout CSV and branded PDF statements
- A written rollout scope, or a clear reason not to proceed
The artifact every pilot produces
Shown with synthetic data: a carrier statement normalized for matching, the producer splits it generated, and the payout summary ready to approve. Your pilot produces the same artifact from your own statements.

Pilot exit checklist
Evidence to collect before expanding beyond the pilot scope. If a box is not checked, the rollout conversation starts with why.
Processing
- Carrier statements import without reformatting
- Low-confidence fields are reviewed, not silently accepted
- Policy matches come with their evidence
- Producer and house shares balance to each statement line
Accuracy
- Match confidence is visible on every line
- Corrections are recorded with who made them
- Discrepancies surface for manual review
- Splits balance to the statement line
Money movement
- Pilot assumptions are measured against your real statements
- Your existing payroll or check process stays in place
- CSV and PDF outputs satisfy accounting
- Live ACH stays disabled; CommissionScope never moves money
Producer questions
- Operator-facing producer detail is clear
- Producer self-service requirements are written down
- Questions and disputes have supporting detail
- Split calculations are transparent during review
